International trade
I have prepared short lectures on international trade topics links to which can be found below. These videos represent material for a complete one semester course in international trade and presume that viewers have been exposed to microeconomic theory, either at the introductory or intermediate level.
A separate set of videos include lectures on international macroeconomic issues.
Section A uses simple supply and demand (partial equilibrium) analysis to examine trade policy outcomes. A quick refresher on some core concepts are available here.
Section B includes descriptions of trade policy institutions, including US trade law, WTO principles, and free trade agreements.
Section C uses intermediate tools of general equilibrium to examine broader effects on the economy.
Section D examines the effects of international factor mobility (e.g. FDI and immigration) on economic outcomes.
