I have worked as a researcher and consultant for the UNECA-African Climate Policy Centre, UNDP, the international water management institute and a National Research System. I have also worked as a design engineer in constructing micro dams for irrigation purposes. I have work experience in Ethiopia, Rwanda, Kenya, Zambia, Uganda and Germany.

I have doctoral degree in environmental sciences with specialization in hydrology and climate change. I am trained in hydrological modeling and the use of information technology for hydrological studies. In addition I am trained at APEC climate center on climate downscaling and use of climate information for generating climate services in water and energy sectors. I also attended practical hand on training on the installation and commissioning of hydrological instruments such as radar sensors, discharge measurement and laboratory instruments.
