MouseHunt Timers - About

This is a website of tools and information about the online game MouseHunt, featuring the helpful MouseHunt Timers, a live spreadsheet updated every few minutes which displays many important features of the game that vary in time, such as when certain Locations are open or closed to hunters.

There is a Timers page for Time Zones of players all around the world which quickly and easily displays this information on a mobile device or computer.  The Timers also contain important information about other Special Events in MouseHunt.  Simply go to the Time Zone page and select your current time offset from GMT/UTC time or just click on your offset from GMT/UTC:

Seasonal Garden

The Seasonal Garden is a location in Rodentia which requires a minimum rank of Lord or Lady and Zugzwang's Scarf to enter.

(In future:  pictures of the seasons from the travel map)

The seasons change every 80 hours, which leads to a repetition of exact times for season changes every 40 days, as per the table below.  You can scroll horizontally to view past, present, and future season changes for time zones for the current 40 day cycle.

The current Season and a countdown to upcoming seasons is shown at the top of Timers.

Just make sure you select the Timer page for your Time Zone so that times on the right are correct:

Balack's Cove

Balack's Cove is a location in the Tribal Isles region which requires a minimum rank of Knight and Balack's Lantern to enter.

Within the Cove, there is a Tide Cycle that lasts 18 hours and 40 minutes:

The tide rises through a Low Tide (8 hours), a Medium Tide (1 hour), and finally a High Tide (20 minutes)

After which it ebbs for the same length of times back down from High to Medium to Low.

Therefore, the Low Tide lasts for 16 hours and the High Tide lasts for 40 minutes, with a Medium Tide of 1 hour in-between these two while rising and for 1 hour in-between these two while ebbing.

This cycle leads to a repetition of exact times for Tide changes every 7 days, as per the table below.  You can scroll horizontally to view past, present, and future Tide changes for time zones for the current 7 day cycle.

The current Tide of the Cove and a countdown to upcoming Tide changes is shown second from the top on the Timers.

Just make sure you select the Timer page for your Time Zone so that times on the right are correct:

Forbidden Grove

The Forbidden Grove is a location in the Bristle Woods region which requires a minimum rank of Legendary and the Keeper's Candle to enter.

The Forbidden Grove closes and opens on a 20 hour cycle:

It is open and accessible to hunters for 16 hours, and then it closes and is inaccessible to hunters for 4 hours.

This cycles leads to a repetition of exact times for opening and closing every 5 days, as per the table below.   You can scroll horizontally to view past, present, and future openings and closings for time zones for the current 5 day cycle.

A countdown to when the Forbidden Grove will open/close is shown third from the top on the Timers.

Relic Hunter

The Relic Hunter mouse is a very unique mouse in MouseHunt in that it is only available in one location and this location changes randomly every 24 hours at midnight GMT/UTC time.  This is also the same time that the Gift of the Day changes.  In addition, a player must have at least one Ancient Relic in their inventory in order to attract the Relic Hunter, and the more Ancient Relics a player has the more likely they are to attract the Relic Hunter.  More information about this is on the Forum in the thread entitled, "Mouse Archaeology: FAQ".

The mechanic of how and where the Relic Hunter moves each day has changed a couple times by the developers, and the current mechanism is that he moves between these 25 random locations.  And while it use to be a complete mystery as to where the Relic Hunter moved to until hunters caught him and shared his location on the Forum with other players or as discovered by the HornTracker Relic Hunter Tracker, the developers now provide a hint as to where he moves each day that all players can easily see and determine right when he moves, at midnight GMT/UTC time.  The hint is provided in the game on the "Invites & Scroll Cases" tab of the Treasure Map pop-up window (accessed in the game HUD), at the bottom of the window and looks like this:

In this case, the hint is "Near the loud and low horns and the dinging of bells", which as you can see on the MouseHunt Wiki refers to the Harbour.

The location of the Relic Hunter is shown in the middle of the Timers.  If not reported, the Timers will display a message, "Help! Report His Location!" that links to this form where any hunter can report his location for others, so that it will display on the Timers for everybody else:

Toxic Spill

The Toxic Spill is a unique Location in MouseHunt that is only available for about 4-7 days at random times throughout the year, every 1 to 3 months.

When a spill starts, it randomly starts at a certain "Pollution Level" where only Hunter ranks of a certain level or higher can enter this Location to hunt for mice.  Then, as Pollution Levels decrease, lower ranks can enter the areas in a step-down fashion until the final rank of Hero can enter until the Toxic Spill ends.  Therefore, only ranks of Hero or higher can participate in Toxic Spill, and the higher a hunter's rank, the longer a player can hunt in the spill.  In addition, stronger mice worth more points and gold are available during the higher rank portions of the Toxic Spill.  Each level of the spill lasts anywhere from 14-32 hours, as shown here in the MouseHunt Wiki.

When there is no known Toxic Spill coming up, the Timers displays this message:

The developers notify players of an upcoming Toxic Spill in the News Ticker that states a spill is imminent in 72 hours, which changes through time in the News Ticker when there is 48, 24, 12, or 6 more hours remaining until the begin of the Toxic Spill.  There is no indication of what Pollution Level the spill will start at, so players only find this information out right when it begins.

When there is a Toxic Spill coming up, the Timers displays a message like this:

During a Toxic Spill, the Timers displays the current Level and a countdown for each remaining Level until the Toxic Spill ends:
