Try a live version of the 2016 MouseHunt Calculator below!
Just select the green cells and then the small drop down arrow in the top right of the cell to make your selections and it will calculate your estimated catch rate for all mice encountered, as well as expected gold and points per hunt. Scroll down to the bottom of this page to read more!
2016 MouseHunt Calculator is a tool for the game MouseHunt developed in Google Sheets. It is a comprehensive model of the game based on what is known as the "3F" or "3-eff" model that was developed back in 2011 by multiple players attempting to crack the code of MouseHunt. It is not the code that the MouseHunt developers use, but is rather a best fit mathematical model of the game. Other similar recommended MouseHunt game "3-eff" mathematical models that estimate catch rates include: a Microsoft Excel version "MH Reference Spreadsheet" maintained by tehhowch and a web-based "Catch Rate Calculator" originally created by haoala. All of these tools were developed on the shoulders of the players that created and maintained the original Furoma Catch Rate Estimator, which sadly no longer exists.
In the above spreadsheet, you can select the green boxes to choose a location and cheese in MouseHunt and determine which mice you will encounter and it provides you an estimated catch rate of each mouse based on your trap, base, and charm selection. It automatically displays the best 4 trap and base setups in the game and their catch rates, but it also has 2 manual trap setups that you can use to compare any other setups. It will also estimate your total attraction rate, gold/hunt, and points/hunt. In addition, links to HornTracker are provided to provide a comparison to real data that is collected from the game from hunters with those setups. The full version, which you can obtain a personal free copy of, contains even more information, including estimated tournament points/hunt for all MouseHunt tournaments.
The above is a live interactive spreadsheet that multiple people can use simultaneously. Therefore, you might see someone changing things while you are attempting to. In this sense, it is just a demo. However, if you make a personal copy of it, you can personalize it with your own traps and bases and use it independently. You will need a free Google account (i.e. gmail), and once signed in, you can go to this view-only copy of the 2016 MouseHunt Calculator and select "File" and then "Make a copy" to save a personal copy.
More instructions and details can be found on the MouseHunt Forums, on this thread devoted to this tool.
Enjoy!
