I received my Bachelor’s degree in Advanced Materials Science and Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University in 2005, Master degree, and Ph.D. in Materials Science from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in 2007 and 2012 supervised by Prof. Dr. Won Bae Kim. Then, I have experienced both experiment and computational approaches in a field of energy technology concerned with electrochemical methods at Prof. Byungchan Han'group in DGIST and Prof. Zhongwei Chen's group at the University of Waterloo as postdoctoral position. I have worked as a Principal Researcher in Fuel Cell Research & Demonstration Center at Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) for 6 years. Currently, I'm educating and researching with students at the Department of Nanotechnology Engineering of Pukyong National University. I'm interested in the development of nanomaterials for energy-related applications in order to be global sustainability and greener environment. Current research is mainly focused on the catalyst design based on precious, non-precious catalysts with novel support materials for fuel cells, metal-air batteries, and hydrolysis systems. To achieve it, experiment and multi-scaling computational approaches are being conducted, developing a force field with Artificial Intelligent (AI) technology in our own system as well as quantum mechanics (QM) and molecular dynamics studies (MD).
