Michael Breen

Welcome!

I am an Associate Professor in International Political Economy at the School of Law and Government, Dublin City University.

My research is concerned with the politics of global finance and the role of international organisations in the global economy. I welcome applications from prospective research students in any area of international political economy.

In 2014-15, I was Principal Investigator of POLSENT (Policy, Sentiment and Financial Markets), a project funded by the Irish Research Council. My collaborators are Dr. Michael Courtney, Professor Iain McMenamin, and Dr. Gemma McNulty.

In 2015, I finished a two-year term on the Executive Committee of the Political Studies Association of Ireland, the major professional organisation for this field in Ireland.
