Who are we? Starting as an idea of Steve Chambers and founding director A.J. Walker, a small group of singers has grown into a large community chorus. Most of our members live in Lancaster County, PA. We sing a variety of songs, in many languages, learned by repetition. Our current Artistic Director is Darla Bair.
Where are we? We perform mostly in the Lancaster City area and sometimes elsewhere in the county and region. We have taken bus trips to perform in Philadelphia and Baltimore.
When are we together? We rehearse most Mondays at 7:00 pm - 8:30 ish (except for a short summer break) at the James Street Mennonite Church, 323 W. James St, Lancaster. We have an annual summer/fall workshop to learn new repertoire and build community.
Why are we? To have the special type of fun that comes from working together towards a goal. It's about community + beauty. Music is the vehicle. The occasional tingling sensation when the sopranos through basses are creating that sound, is a bonus.
