The Republic of Mevu, founded 1970, is the oldest Antarctic city states. Since 1984, it has been a member of the Antarctic Confederation of City States - ACCR.

In 2020, the Republic of Mevu celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Lemmath Babi is currently Federal President of the Antarctic Confederation of City Republics, while his wife, Liese Keller, is the President of the Republic of Mevu.
