Welcome to my homepage!
I am a Full Professor of Economics at Université Paris-Est Créteil and Coordinator of the Applied Economics and Policy Group at the Center for Economics in Paris-Saclay. I also lead the Sectoral Policies Research Group at the Energy & Prosperity Chair at the Louis Bachelier Institute.
As an expert in energy and environmental economics with nearly 20 years of experience, I have advised organizations such as the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, and collaborated with public stakeholders across Africa, the Americas, and Europe. My research covers the evaluation of environmental policies, climate justice, and green finance, with particular attention to energy, industry, transport, and critical materials. Much of this work is carried out through doctoral supervision in partnership with private firms. I have also led international research projects, published in top-tier journals, and I am a frequent contributor to global media on issues related to the energy transition and sustainability.
I hold a PhD in Economics from CORE at the Catholic University of Louvain, have completed postdoctoral research at École Polytechnique in Paris, and have earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of the Republic in Uruguay.
