Welcome to my homepage!
I am a Full Professor of Economics at Université Paris-Est Créteil and Coordinator of the Applied Economics and Policy Group at the Centre for Economics at Paris-Saclay. I also lead the Sectoral Policies Research Group at the Energy & Prosperity Chair of the Louis Bachelier Institute.
Specialized in energy and environmental economics, I have nearly 20 years of experience advising international organizations such as the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, and collaborating with public actors across Africa, the Americas, and Europe. My research focuses on environmental policy evaluation, climate justice, and green finance, with particular emphasis on the energy, industrial, transport, and critical-materials sectors. Much of this work is developed through PhD supervision in partnership with private companies.
I have led international research projects, published in top-tier academic journals, and regularly contribute to global media on issues related to the energy transition and sustainability.
I hold a PhD in Economics from CORE at the Université catholique de Louvain, completed postdoctoral research at École Polytechnique in Paris, and earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of the Republic in Uruguay.
