Metro Swing

Metro Swing is a popular Sacramento area big band with a diverse repertoire spanning over seven decades of music. They perform audience pleasing classics from music greats like Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nora Jones, Etta James and many others.

Metro Swing creates entertaining shows that include frontman and talented vocalist, Stan Read, also known as "The Cat in the Red Hat". Stan provides decades of professional music experience, including a tour as backup singer for the great Harry Belafonte! Gail Bisho provides a vibrant female presence and never fails to entertain on songs like Fever, At Last, Summertime and many others. Additional band members chip in on vocals, including drummer Michael Hoover on songs like Moondance, Let the Good Times Roll and What a Wonderful World.

This exciting 15-piece big band is available for wedding receptions, dance clubs, anniversaries, birthday parties, holiday events, concerts in the park, as well as private and community events throughout the greater Sacramento area and Northern California.
