About Us

Brakpan Methodist Church was established in 1919. We celebrate 102 years of worship, selfless service and fellowship as a community. All thanks to God for His love, grace and provision in the past 102 years. We continue to commit ourselves to being God’s instruments and a channel of peace and grace in the world for as long as we exist in this community.

Over the years many children have been welcomed into the community through Baptism. Many young people have confirmed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Many people have repented of their sins and offered their lives to Jesus. Many families have been established through marriage. Many have been buried and gone home to their Father. Multitudes have gathered around the Lord’s Table for the feast of love, grace and acceptance. Multitudes have been prayed for, hope has been restored and lives have been transformed. Multitudes have been fed physically, spiritually and emotionally.

There is much to be done and we are thankful for what has been accomplished with the help of the Lord and our community. So we continue into the future trusting in God to provide, and with hope and faith that we will continue the work that God has called us to.

Clothing Ministry/Charity Shop

Bring all your unwanted items (clothing, crockery, cutlery, ornaments etc … the things you don't need anymore … our ladies will sort it and then on-sell it to raise funds for church maintenance.
