Unfortunately, since the pandemic, we have not been able to sustain the manpower or community support to continue the pursuit of the vision at present. If anyone has an interest in reigniting a grassroots effort to get things moving, please reach out to discuss the possibility of connecting with like-minded community memebrs who can help with a coordinated effort.Â

Expand our trail network and maintain our temporary inland classroom for summer programs and academic field trip programs.
Involve students in the preparation and planning to instill ownership in the community & award community service hours.
Seek professional advice for rehabilitation, structural integrity, & grounds assessment of waterfront historic buildings.
Continue to build community support, identify and contact potential sponsors, sources of funding and apply for eligible grant funds.
Publicize our mission and efforts to establish a monumental facility that allows for recreation for local residents while educating students and the public about how to enjoy our environment in a responsible manner.
With assistance from the town, prepare the grounds and establish a management plan for long-term grounds maintenance.
Seek builders, contractors, and other misc. workers invested in the project that are willing to volunteer time and or assist at reduced rates.
Begin work on Building #9005 first with intent of using the space as a model of what can be done with building #9004.
