I am an evolutionary biologist interested in how animals adapt to environmental change. Specifically, my research focuses on how animals adjust their reproductive decisions to different environmental conditions to maximise their fitness. I incorporate proximate, physiological and behavioural mechanisms with broader adaptive and phylogenetic evolutionary questions, combining large-scale experiments in birds and meta-analysis. Thus far, I have applied this original approach to three areas of evolutionary biology – maternal effects, sex allocation and colouration.
I did my PhD in France, with fieldwork in Alaska, two postdocs in Australia and one in Canada. More recently I have been working as a biostatistician.
