My fields of research are Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics, Ecoonmic Growth, Macro-Finance, Macro-Labor, and Environmental Macroeconomics. My research investigates optimal conventional and unconventional monetary policy, fiscal policy in isolation, and the interactions between them in different macroeconomic environments, including frictional labor markets and frictional financial markets. It explicitly studies the dynamics of the labor market, both empirically and theoretically. I have also written on the long-term determinants of growth in both advanced and developing countries.
I also investigate how environmental and climate processes and policies interact with fiscal and monetary policies and affect macroeconomic aggregates.
