Introduction: You will use your analysis skills to deconstruct several types of media to learn about various strategies used with persuasion. Use your table number as to which media example you view first to then work your way through the remaining examples in order (i.e., table 3 starts at example 3 then goes to 4). Use the provided Padlet link at each example to record your responses. When using a Padlet note, put your name in the title area then either hit the TAB key or move your mouse to the body of the note to record your thinking. Work on this project in the technology lab, classroom and at home.

#1 Advertising Techniques
Review the following video which offers persuasion techniques used in advertising. When you post to Padlet, add your name to then list a description of the advertisement and how it uses one of the techniques.

#3 Use of Color in Marketing
Play the role of marketing executive who is in an elevator with a client representing a company that produces an electronic gadget. You have one minute to pitch an idea on what a print advertisement for the product would look like. Your focus is on using colors to persuade viewers so review the information below. Go to Padlet for Mr. R's class | Padlet link for Ms. V's class to describe how you would use at least one color in your advertisement. Explain your reasoning.
