CV and Biography

Meagan McCollum is currently an Associate Professor of Finance and director of real estate programs in the Collins College of Business at the University of Tulsa. Her research interests include real estate finance, financial intermediation, and sustainability. She has published work in a number of respected journals in finance and real estate including Journal of Banking and Finance,  Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Regional Science and Urban Economics, Cities, and Finance Research Letters. 

During her tenure at the University of Tulsa, Dr. McCollum has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in financial markets and institutions, real estate, and money and capital markets. Prior to joining the University of Tulsa she was an Assistant Professor of Real Estate at Baruch College, City University of New York where she taught classes in real estate capital markets and real estate finance. 

Dr. McCollum holds a Ph.D. in Finance with a minor in Economics from Louisiana State University. She earned a M.S. in finance with a concentration in real estate from the University of Alabama, a M.B.A and a B.A. in music from Samford University. She currently serves as co-chair of Global Women in Real Estate (GWIRE) and a member of the board of the International Real Estate Society (IRES). She is a member of professional organizations such as the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA), American Real Estate Society (ARES), and Financial Management Association (FMA).
