We're 32 days away from our first Scouts joining us at beautiful Camp Wolfeboro, our staff is thrilled to spend their summer with you! As the time draws nearer here are a few reminders and general answers to common questions.
Scout Information
Please complete the Scout information on 247scouting.com as soon as you can. This triggers the Merit Badge sign up process and will make the other items easier as you make your final preparations for camp.
Merit Badge Prerequisites
Prerequisites are loaded into the Merit Badge system. You can print out individual sheets per Scout or for your troop. To do so, please go into your Troops registration and click on the more "more" tab near the top. From there you will see a drop down, go to "reports" From here you will see 14 different reports you can run. For prerequisites click on "Prerequisites by Scout" The class catalog also has a list of the prerequisite requirements.
Blue Cards
You will see on this reports page a way to print your blue cards ahead of coming to camp. You may print them on BSA Blue Card stock or on paper (make sure to select double sided in your printer options) They will be prefilled out with your Scouts name, badge and the requirements on them. They will also list the Area Director for the program area where the badge is offered. This name will not necessarily be the name of the individual Staff Member who is teaching that session.
Trailhead Programs
If you have Scouts taking any of the rank requirements at Trailhead you can click on the "Advancement Detail" report to see which requirements we will be covering at camp this summer.
Final Payments
Payments are due by Friday May 31st to avoid a late charge. This includes Scouts BSA, Webelos Crossover and full week adults. If you have adults who are coming for single days or partial weeks they may pay as their schedule firms up closer to your week at camp.
Refunds
All refunds for Merit Badge changes will be handled after the summer camp season in mid to late August.
Apparel Preorders
Those of you who participated in our pre-orders for apparel, they will start shipping to you tomorrow from our manufacturer so be on the look out for them next week.
If you have specific needs to prepare for at camp please reach out to our Camp Director, Andrew Dale or Program Director George Loosli.
Lastly, as of last week we had about two feet of snow at the top of camp in the Parking lot. The Snow has been melting at 1-2 feet per week and the valley floor is already clear. Temperatures last Friday were in the low 70's.
If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Yours in Scouting,
Joe Barton
Director of Support Service, Mt. Diablo Silverado Council

Mar 6, 2019, 12:00 AM
Hello all,
I have secured the preferred movie I like to show for the merit badge. I am inviting your BSA Girls as well as our Boys to watch this either at my house or at the lodge.
Friday 3/8/19 we could set up at Mark Maltagliati house. Any interested Scouts can watch the film and then discuss afterwards to meet the requirement. If that does not work, another date can be set for the 3/15/19 Friday.
[Note: these dates were canceled and moved to Friday May 3rd. -TP]
Please advise. Please pass this along to your Senior Patrol Leaders.
Thanks,

Troop 146 Scouts and Scouters,
We have finally received confirmation from the council that the annual Herms C.H.E.C.K merit badge event will be happening on Saturday March 2, 2019 at Camp Herms 8-3!!
Please see the attached flier with all the details as well as what merit badges will be offered this year and any prerequisites.
Cost is $10.00 per scout payable the day of event and includes a CHECK patch. This is a one day event so only one merit badge will be worked on by each scout. It is not a requirement to complete all prereq’s unless you plan to complete your merit badge at the event. Otherwise scouts will leave with a partial.
I need to sign the Troop up as a group for the event and would like to have us registered by this coming Monday Feb. 11th. Please email me ASAP with your 1st and 2nd merit badge choices, as this event does fill up and your 1st option may not be available. Please don’t delay in your response as this will hold up the rest of the Troop’s registration as well.
Please include the following in your email – Scouts full name, phone number, merit badge choice #1 and #2.
Thanks for your timely response,
Kristy Montano
Advancement Chair Troop 146
