The mission of the Maryland Dairy Shrine is to honor past and present leaders of the Maryland dairy industry, inspire future leaders through recognition and scholarships, as well as provide educational and historical displays in the museum for visitors.
The Maryland Dairy Shrine brings together dairy producers, supporters, and enthusiasts who all want to preserve our dairy heritage and keep the dairy industry strong. After the National Dairy Shrine was founded in 1949, the Maryland Dairy Shrine was established in 1963 to recognize leaders of Maryland's dairy industry and to help preserve its legacy and history.
The Maryland Dairy Shrine helps to shine light on the achievements of those who are dedicated to the Maryland dairy industry. We offer numerous scholarships and awards, as well as provide opportunities for further education and creating new connections among members.
