If you have made it this far you must be wondering about what kind of person I am. On this page I will give a description of myself the best way I can. I was born in Lexington Kentucky and lived there until we moved to Campbellsville Kentucky, then onto Greensburg Kentucky when I was in second grade. I was eventually raised in this really small town, which until recently all the stop lights could be counted on one hand. In high school I was in the band and played the trombone from middle school to sophmore year and drums on my junior year. We were a very successful marching and concert band, winning multiple awards. I graduated high school in 1998. From that point on I went through the many trials and tribulations as a young adult working various jobs across Kentucky gaining a variety of experience in the work force. I eventually ended up moving back to Campbellsville and working at various factories. It was here in 2006 that I extended my legacy with the birth of my one and only child, Elijah Collings. He ended up being the reason for everything that I have worked for. After one dead end factory job after another, I decided that this wasn't the path I wanted for myself and for the future. I decided in 2009 that I would advance my education and do something that would be better beneficial and more secure of a future. I decided to become a software engineer so that I could get into an industry that would only improve. I have always enjoyed new technology. After graduating in 2011, during the recession, entry level positions were non existent for college students. With the economy the way it was, I enrolled into Western Kentucky University for 3 years to obtain a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, minoring in music composition and theory.
That brings me to the now. I am currently employed with American Wood Fibers utilizing the skills I have learned in school and in the fields of various employers to progress within. I am a good team player and take criticism well. I don't pretend to know everything there is to know but I am confident in what I do know. Although I haven't had an opportunity to express and show what I know, it won't stop me from learning and moving forward with improvement. I have the drive, determination and commitment to fulfill the requirements to achieve any goals towards success and happiness. Thanks for your time and interest in me, have a great day!
