A few seasons ago in another (younger) world I compiled a list of the top paid Amateur Draft picks and International Free Agents in the world’s history and I thought that would be an interesting exercise to do here as well. However, since we have 39 full seasons of data here I decided to start with the seasons since the last major update because both IFAs and the Amateur Draft were such a major focus during that update. Eventually I’ll get around to doing the full 39 seasons but I figured this would be a good way to ease into it. Without further ado, let’s start with Amateur Draft picks:
In the five drafts since the update, eleven guys have signed deals that included signing bonuses of $5M or more. Out of those eleven, here are the top five with contract details and ML success (or lack thereof):

For the IFA’s I looked into guys with signing bonuses of $20M-plus, and even after the update to make the ratings “fuzzier”, seventeen guys have signed those contracts. The top five:
