MIDDLEBURGH - Kiera Morgan scored 19 points to lead Middleburgh to a 61-47 win over Mayfield in a non-league girls basketball game Monday.
Lyndsay McCoy finished with 12 points for the Knights, while Carley Ryan had 11. Bre Palmateer added 10 points for Middleburgh, which led 20-9 after one quarter on its way to the win.
Kaylee Bumpus scored 12 points to lead Mayfield (0-1 overall), while Julie Hampton added 11.

SARATOGA SPRINGS - The Lady Saints got a put-back off an offensive rebound from Chloe Ethier at the buzzer to defeat the Lady Panthers Monday night.
Julie Hampton finished with nine points and Camryn Meca had eight to lead Mayfield.
Ethier finished with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Emma VanDeCar finished with 12 points.

Lady Bills cruise past Lady Panthers, 54-33

MAYFIELD - Annie Stock finished with 16 points to lead Johnstown to a 54-33 win over Mayfield in a non-league girls basketball game Tuesday.
The Lady Bills led 12-4 after one quarter and 29-17 at the half on their way to the victory.
Megan Anagnostopulos scored 10 points for Johnstown (4-4 overall), while Lexus Williams had eight points. Alex VanAernam and Malllory Baldwin each scored six points for the Lady Bills.
Kylie Manoogian, Kaylee Bumpus and Julie Hampton each scored seven points to lead Mayfield (4-4 overall). Sydney Sheldon added six points for the Lady Panthers.
Johnstown is slated to host Amsterdam on Tuesday at 7 p.m., while Mayfield is off until Jan. 9, when it is scheduled to host Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville at 7 p.m.

Mayfield girls defeat Canajoharie, 56-41

MAYFIELD - Kaylee Bumpus scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Mayfield to a 56-41 win over Canajoharie in a Western Athletic Conference North Division girls basketball game Wednesday.
The Lady Panthers led 37-35 after three quarters before outscoring the Lady Cougars 19-6 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
It was the first loss in nine WAC North contests for Canajoharie.
Julie Hampton finished with 10 points and six steals for Mayfield, including an 8-for-10 effort from the free-throw line. As a team, the Lady Panthers converted 17 of 26 attempts from the line in the game, while the Lady Cougars were just 6 of 15.
Kylie Manoogian posted nine points for Mayfield (7-7 overall, 5-5 WAC), while Rebecca Hart had eight. The Lady Panthers had eight different players score in the game.
Jordyn Logan scored 13 points to lead Canajoharie (10-3 overall, 8-1 WAC), while Dainara Veeder finished with 11. Alexis Kane added 10 points for the Lady Cougars.
Mayfield is scheduled to host Saratoga Central Catholic today, while Canajoharie is slated to travel to Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville on Friday. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The Lady Panthers outscored the Lady Wolves 29-15 in the final quarter to rally from a 37-28 deficit.

JOHNSTOWN - The Mayfield Lady Panthers got a 21-point performance from Julie Hampton as they defeated Berne-Knox-Westerlo 53-46 in Western Athletic Conference girls basketball crossover action Saturday at Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
Kaylee Bumpus joined Hampton in double digits with 13 points.
Kristen Norray led BKW with 23 points.

Mayfield loses to Lake George

LAKE GEORGE - McKenzie Bennett scored 20 points to lead sixth-seeded Lake George to a 58-27 win over 11th-seeded Mayfield in the first round of the Section II Class C girls basketball tournament Tuesday.
Kayla Prosser finished with 10 points for Lake George, which posted its 13th straight win.
Julie Hampton scored 13 points to lead Mayfield, while Cailey Meca added six points.
Lake George (17-3 overall) advanced to Friday's quarterfinals to face third-seeded Maple Hill at Greenwich High School at 6 p.m. The Wildcats posted a 49-33 win over 14th-seeded Cambridge in their first-round matchup Tuesday.
Mayfield, which had won six straight before Tuesday's game, finished its season with a 12-8 overall record.
