Hello! 

I am a Reader/Associate Professor at Durham University Business School and Associate Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Studies. 

I was Director of the Centre for Macroeconomic Policy (CEMAP), a DUBS accredited Research Centre, between 2019-2022. 

Previously I was a Senior Lecturer in Macroeconomic Theory at the Department of Economics of the University of York and before that Assistant Professor at the Center of Economic Research at ETH Zurich (Switzerland). I was also a Junior Research Fellow at the Institut d’Analisi Economica, Barcelona GSE. 

In 2007, I earned a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute (Italy), and then held a research fellowship in macroeconomics at the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). 

In 2008, my doctorate thesis was awarded with the Graduate Prize for the Best PhD Thesis from the Italian Association of Applied Mathematics to Economics and Social Sciences.

My research interest is on macroeconomic theory and mathematical economics.
