About The Director

My name is Lynn Sweet.

I grew up in Rutland, VT and graduated from Rutland High School.

I attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY and earned a degree in K-12 Music Education.

I taught K-6 Music at Catamount Elementary School for 7 years and had some great experiences! (Annie Jr, The Wizard of Oz, PROUD, Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and many more!)

I spent one year at the Middle School and then three years teaching at Molly Stark and Monument - More great experiences! (Honk Jr., Dear Edwina, Gettin' Down with Mama Goose and many more!

This is my 13th year at the High School and I love it! Some highlights include Singing at the lighting of the Capital Christmas Tree in Washington, DC, You've Got A Friend Concert Exchange, Les Miserables in Concert, Hairspray in Concert and the Beatles with Cedar Grove High School in Cedar Grove, NJ, PROUD and More!

Musicals like Beauty and the Beast, Seussical, Nunsense, The Sound of Music, Pippin, Cinderella, Urinetown, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. The Wizard of Oz, The Addams Family, Oliver, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and many more...performances of the Vivaldi Gloria and the Pergolesi Magnificat... so many fantastic experiences!

My husband Spencer and I have three beautiful dogs named Jasper T. Pennywise and Mia and our newest addition - Lucy!


I love Broadway musicals and I've seen close to 60 of them. A few favorites are Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Lion King, The Producers, Chicago, Les Miserables, and South Pacific, Once, Pippin, Matilda, Something Rotten, Kinky Boots, The King and I, Dear Evan Hansen, Come From Away and many more! There are still many more on my list to see, though! Come check out my poster collection in my classroom sometime! New ones are added every year!

When I'm not at school I love to camp, cook, kayak and spend time with family and friends!
