Daniel Myslivecek was a student at Churchville-Chili High School who fought melanoma for nearly three years. The Daniel’s 5k race was initially created by Daniel’s friends and family to assist with ongoing medical costs. In the spring of 2006 Daniel himself ran in the race and completed it despite being in the middle of a series of treatments. Daniel passed away later that year on July 12th, 2006. The Daniel’s 5K race continues to help others and remains as a tribute to the memory of Daniel Myslivecek
