Summary 

Matthew is a published artist and has 20+ years of experience in product design and fine arts working with large global corporations such as Philips Luminaires and GE, to micro-companies.  Managing product development from original concept to production, he has brought over 400 SKUs to market.  Having the opportunity to collaborate, visit and inspect prototypes in manufacturers in China to promoting completed products in national tradeshows, he understands the entire process of bringing a product to market. He has a strong background in Art and Architectural History, formally trained with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with a concentration on Interior Architecture and a Master’s of Architecture from UC School of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning (DAAP).  His strong analytic and problem-solving skills facilitate product development and inspiration.  His strong organizational skills enable successful management of multiple projects.  He enjoys working cross-functionally with teams while maintaining the ability to work independently.  He has a proven track record for meeting tight deadlines and budgetary restrictions without compromising on design.  His work experience has enhanced his leadership/mentorship skills through management, lead designer, and teaching positions. He brings with him excellent communication and presentation skills.
