Welcome!

There is not much here, but what is present are links to some of the projects that I have worked on for my use and enjoyment. The largest number of pages are devoted to a device called a coherer. Coherers were the first widely used radio wave detectors. They are very primitive, yet easy to construct devices and I've built a lightning detector which uses a coherer to detect the electromagnetic waves that a lightning bolt generates.

The only other project adds a feature that is missing from the cheap UPS that I bought. It is a power monitor that instructs my computer to turn-off when the electricity in my home fails.

New!

Over the summer I experimented with generating images of the Mandelbrot set. To share my experience I have created a page that describes the set and how the images are created.
