The Floating Laughter of the Harlequin's Anti-Gravity Brain

(being an examination of the fruitfulness of letting go)

Taking time to not skip the cracks

the midnight gone and into the kaleidoscopic dawn

finding the alluring of the stacks of books awry

the skies themselves cannot embrace her in their serious moods

the time comes with it's own freedom

to laugh the meaning away from the words

Godlike,

smiting for no apparent reason from above,

swamp cooler metal corner,

drumming 3172 stars into my head,

the entire works, all at once,

dangling, of John Bonham beat,

i fall to earth,

Hindenburg unconscious,

cradled by my own unreasoning hands,

sleeping

I absolve you, the blame

is manifest in the cathedral,

raised up on my holiest temple,

irradiated,

tomographinated,

con-cussed, gurneybound and laughing,

sharing bicycle wreck stories with Methuselah,

again, I absolve you

It'll happen faster than you expect red serene smash into

metaphor you become sensate that word itself you

become scintillation that word scintillation the entire

existence of the reality overhead containing the eyes

that read the ears that hear scintillation you become

agony that word itself you become agony in all of its

anguished forms its definitions too numbered leaving

nothing but agony the word agony and memory of

bliss you become changed that word itself you

become changed the entire existence of the

reality beneath the void banishing the eyes

that saw nullifying the ears from surrendering to

songs of bliss in your wake you move red

serene smash into metaphor and memories

of words you were

It'll happen faster than you expected it ever could

the syntax breaks down words become imperfect

analogy insufficient logic unsound breath still and

mind incalculable in serene scintillating blissful

agonic change typewriters shattered libraries blank

and silent gods unseated and unsettled in their

vacant temples turn aside leaving the paperwork

in disarray

It'll happen faster than simile churning in Shakespeare's

dreaming eternal soul
