I had found the marble many years before and kept it until i found a twisted piece of tree and whittled it down using a carving knife i had bought my son for christmas. At first my aim was to inspire him to make use of his new gift, by the end, I had created a unique piece of furniture that has been in our home ever since. Whilst this isn't the most practical object due to its odd centre of gravity, when handled with care, it provides an eye catching display and compliments another upcycled piece called Cosa Nostra.
