News - July
As restrictions are eased and venues look into how they can function post corona, we are all challenged to find new ways to comply with the guidance.
I am continuing to Live stream on twitch every Wednesday with my Global Eclectic Music Show. My weekends will be more spontaneous as I make myself available for bookings. I will stream for my self in an around that and use this time to test different platforms. Event's will be shared from my facebook page so make sure you like and 'see first' for all event updates.
We have lifted the portacabin to it's new position and can now landscape the gardens. A special thanks to Nortons HiAbs for the lift. All our keen measuring and patience has paid off.
We are now creating an edible landscape and multi use facilities. Once it's all open and risk assessed the public will have a range of activities with distancing and infection control to mitigate any concerns. With many of our existing user base coming out of shielding, an open space with flowers and brew station, will be vital to their recovery. we also want to offer skill sharing and creative projects to bring households together and make best use of being close to home more.
About Matt Catt.
For many years I have worked as a DJ and in production for clubs, parties and festivals. I'm best known for my Global sound that mashes up music from all over the world and have done countless gigs and shows for online radio.
However I am more than just 'that guy' who mixes great music. I work behind the scenes on events production and in the studio to create and edit content. I have also been the goto guy for many who needed help with their machines or with completing a project doing anything from artwork to zip-filing.
I have worked on many of my own conceptual projects exploring themes of transformation through use of mixed media and appropriate technology . I enjoy repurposing things and seeing them brought back into use. I'm inspired by objet-trouve, maker culture, deep topography and street art.
I'm currently working within my community, performing at events plus helping to facilitate creative spaces and regular opportunities for people to share their skills and socialise. All of this combined forms the basis for my community arts and events work.

How you can help
The corona virus lockdown couldn't of happened at a more critical time for all of us working in events. Whist online shows and live streaming does provide a point of contact and a creative outlet, typical consumption habits make it hard to monetize without moving over to a pay-to-participate platform.
Meanwhile venues remain closed and redundancies are banging in the final nails. More can be done by our governments but also between audiences and their chosen entertainment streams.
I currently give my online shows away for free and collect donations through my paypal page. I've looked into other methods and this one works best for me. You can give as little or as much as you like, and for the more-generous amongst you I shall be sending unique gifts and offers to DJ either online or in person once restrictions are eased.
