Bio and CV

I am Professor of climate change economics at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, and director of the European Institute on the Economy and the Environment (EIEE), a partnership between Resources for the Future and the Fondazione CMCC. I coordinated the climate reprogramme at FEEM, have been a fellow at the Center for Advanced Studied in Behavioural Sciences at Stanford University, and post doctoral fellow at Princeton University. My research is about climate change mitigation, integrated assessment modeling and experimental economics. I am a lead author of the IPCC (5th and 6th assessment reports), co-direct the International Energy Workshop and was deputy editor for the journal ‘Climatic Change’. I am the recipient of a starting grant from the European Research Council (ERC) and led several EU funded projects. I have advised several international institutions on climate change, including the OECD, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank.
