Algebraic tools in bioinformatics project

The project will focus on application of algebraic statistics and algebraic geometry methods to biological problems. We will use algebraic analysis to address important biological questions, including identification of correlated mutations in gene and protein sequences and construction of protein-protein interaction networks based on correlated mutations.
