Experience

Martin Strous registered as an educational psychologist in 1992 after completing BA, BA Hons and M.ED degrees at Wits, and internships at the Family and Marriage Society of South Africa and TMI (Child and Family Unit). He subsequently completed a PhD at the University of the Witwatersrand and a Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute). He is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and was admitted to the BPS Register of Psychologists Specialising in Psychotherapy (as a Foundation Member with Senior Practitioner Status).

Martin held positions at the University of the Witwatersrand (Division of Specialised Education), at King David Primary School (Sandton) and as a Board Member of the Southern African Association for Learning and Educational Disabilities (Witwatersrand Branch). His main areas of professional interest have been in private practice, where the focus is on psychotherapy and psycho-legal assessments.
