MONTHLY MEETING

Hot Topics Luncheon -- October 11, 2022

H E A L T H C A R E: Reproductive Rights Update

Special Guest Speakers: Laura Goodhue & Candace Dye

Abortion is on the ballot as an initiative in five states. Draconian laws restricting a woman’s right to choose are being challenged in courtrooms across the country. And soon, state legislatures (like ours) are likely to begin filing bills to do even more damage.

Two women on the front lines of this battle will share their perspectives on where things stand today — and what comes next.

* Laura is Vice President of Public Policy, Planned Parenthood of South, East & North Florida and Executive Director, Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates.

* Candace is the founder and administrator of A Woman’s World Medical Center, the only clinic of its kind in the five counties surrounding Fort Pierce, which she established in 1991.

REMINDER! Our Location has Changed!

New location: Carmela’s Brick Oven Pizza & Wine Bar— 2311 SE Ocean Blvd. (Across from Fresh Market)
