Grandmaster Jaime O. Cianfrocco (Born - May 14 1946)
1964 - Started Martial Arts in Judo and Arnis (Filipino Martial Arts). Promoted to brown belt
by Master Gregorio Orpeza (Oriental Champion).
1968
- Joined the Marine Corps. Served in Danang Vietnam. Started in Goju
Ryu Karate under Master Sungei Okami (Okinawa - Do) Green belt.
1969
- Joined Grand Master Aaron Banks (New York Karate Academy) as the rank of
7th Kyu. Promoted to the ranking system up to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th degree
black belt. Competed in Tournaments winning in Kata, Kumite and
breaking.
1987
- Promoted to the rank of 5th degree Black belt (WPKO).
(1990-1991)
Deployed Gulf War (Saudi Arabia / Kuwait). Master Instructor of
Self Defense 372nd military police out of Cumberland Virginia U.S.
Army Protective Service Leader for the U.S. Army Commander of
northern logistics Lt.Gen. Gus Pagonis (3 stars). Awarded the
Army Commendation Medal and Achievement Medal.
1992
- Rejoined New York Karate Academy. More shows, more competitions.
Twin Towers Classic National Karate Championships winning in Kata,
breaking.
1993
- Awarded 8th degree Black belt (WPKO) won Kata (senior div.)
U.N. Open Lee Ireland 2nd Annual Karate Classic.
2001
- (Present) Diplomatic Security Office - U.S. Dept of State
(2001-2004)
Deployed to Iraq - Self Defense Instructor for 812 M.P., 519 M.P.
battalion 18th M.P. Brigade. Headed protective service for the
Eastern Baghdad area (Provost Marshal). Awarded Bronze Star,
the most decorated military on police in Baghdad, Valorous unit,
U.S. Army commendation medal (6th award).
U.S. Army achevement medal (5th award).
2006
- Retired from the service after serving 29 years. Total combined active
and reserve.
2011
- Awarded 9th degree Black belt ( Grandmaster) by Great Grandmaster
Aaron Banks (WPKO).
