"Radio Romania Actualitati" and TVR2
Today, 16th December 2022, together with the host Dan Creta, and producers Luciana Gingaraşu and Domenico Diana, in the studio of Radio Romania Actualitati (also broadcasted at TVR2) on the wonderful show "Prietenii de la Radio", which can be viewed in its entirety on the Romania Actualitati page.
It was really a great pleasure! We talked about artificial intelligence, music and many other interesting things!
Talking about the Robotics of Success at the "Angajatori de TOP" (TOP Employers) event in Bucharest
Acum."
English: "They say that we cannot change the past. Yes, we can. Not by the way it happened at the atomic level, but by the way we interpret it and see from the perspective of Now, of Today. We wouldn't have gotten here if we hadn't gone through all the difficulties, losses and successes, as well as the lessons we've learned along the way. On this last page, the Page of Today, we're actually rewriting the whole story. We're giving it meaning and that's the only thing that matters. So nothing matters more than Today. Do we want a happy ending that will give meaning to our whole life? Do we want a beginning of a happy future? Let's write that page! Now."
This is just one of the ideas that I presented yesterday, about The Robotics of Success, at the TOP Employers event at the Palatului Hall (Bucharest) on October 22, 2022.
We are honored to be part of a new project, the TV show ArtPill created by Teo Doroftei, from the Faculty of Journalism of the University of Bucharest in collaboration with Marian Teodorescu and Dan Cojocaru.

Romanian AI Days is an annual event dedicated to the AI community in Romania. Its aim is to strengthen the Romanian AI community and increase its impact in the international AI ecosystem, by bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs and policy makers from Romania and abroad.
I was invited as a keynote speaker at this wonderful event and I presented our latest research results on unsupervised learning for multi-task scene understanding in the context of intelligent drones, with focus on our recent AAAI 2021 and ACCV 2020 papers.
My talk can also be seen on YouTube (video on the right), in a slightly different version, given immediately after Romanian AI Days, at an online event organized by Under Construction, one of the top Robotics clubs at the National level, formed by high-school students from Carabela, Targoviste - one of the best High-schools in Romania.
We had a wonderful discussion about artificial intelligence and our research in the field, together with Dan Creta, the host of the "Intre Prieteni" Radio Show at Radio Romania Actualitati. The interview is available on YouTube (the video on the right).
September 2020: together with Ioana Irimia, my colleague from Bucharest.AI, we present live at the Digital Job Program of Gold FM and "Scoala Informala IT" (Informal IT School) our Be AI Pre-accelerator, in which I will take part as mentor for three months (October - December 2020).
The talk we had live together with Bogdan Sarpe, the host of Digital Job, can be seen in full here.
#BeAI: the first Pre-accelerator in Romania dedicated exclusively to artificial intelligence (AI) is the topic of the day at 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐛. The 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭.𝐀𝐈 team brings, live, all the good news about #free registration, the chance to access a #pre-seed funding of up to 50,000 Euro and other super opportunities for the development of start-ups.
December 2018: I was the main guest in the second episode of the"Romania Veritabila" (Eng. "True Romania") TV show at TVR 1. The episode featured some of our work on computer vision for drones. A demo with our solution to aerial scene segmentation, in drone videos captured from flight, can be seen here. "Romania Veritabila" is produced by Cristina Soloc, a well-known Romanian TV producer. Cristina received several Awards for documentaries she made about Romania.
March 2018: "In his speech, Marius shares with us a guide to our dreams using all the elements that accompany us in this journey in which we basically discover... ourselves. Science, poetry and literature, imagination and creativity, they represent only a part of the key ingredients Marius underlines in his guide: ‘Master Your Self’. Marius Leordeanu is an Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department from University Politehnica of Bucharest, Computer Vision and Robotics Expert and an author"
January 2016: I was one of the two special guests, together with Neurosurgeon Dr. Stefan Mindea, in the TV science and cultural show "A doua emigrare" (Eng. The second emigration) at TVR (Romanian National Television), produced by Aziza Micu.
I was guest in a half an hour TV discussion with Prof. Leon Zagrean and Alexandru Mironov, on the show "Digipedia-Science", Digi24 TV.
From the program presentation:
"This Friday, at "Digipedia - Science", we will find out what is hidden at the limit of the perception of our senses. We will go on a journey from the micro to the macro-cosmos, from the atom to the universe, to remember that the world we we see every day is just one of many existing ones. And who can say how many more are to be discovered? Guests: Prof. Dr. Leon Zagrean (President of the National Society of Neuroscience) and Assoc. Professor Dr. Marius Leordeanu."
