I am an Assistant Professor in Economics at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, a Research Fellow at the Latin American Centre, a Visiting Senior Fellow at the Firoz Lalji African Centre and Faculty Affiliated at the Department of International Development at the London School of Economics.
I am also a researcher at the Centre for Drugs and Crime (CESED) and a Co-investigator at the Centre for Gender, Justice and Security- LSE.
I lead the Women in Environmental Economics for Development (WinEED) network as part of the Environment for Development (EfD) network.
Before joining Uniandes, I was a Fellow at the Economic and Economics History department of LSE. I received a Ph.D in Development Economics from LSE, an M.Res in Economics from LSE, an M.A in Economics from Uniandes , an M.A in History from Uniandes, a B.A in Economics (Cum Laude) from Uniandes and a B.A in History (Cum Laude) from Uniandes.
My research interests are at the intersection of Development Economics, Economic History and Political Economy. In particular, I am interested in Land, Conflict, Gender, Climate Change and Housing.
