I obtained a B.Sc. in Economics at the Università Bocconi in 2005, and in 2006 a M.Sc. in Philosophy of the Social Sciences at LSE.
In June 2011 I defended my PhD thesis in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics with a dissertation on "Slave trades, credit records and strategic reasoning: four essays in microeconomics".
Since then, I joined the Bank of Italy, first as a research fellow and later (October 2012) as advisor for the Monetary Analysis division, DG Economics. In June 2023, I became Head of the Money and Credit Unit at the same division.
My reasearch intersts are in empirical banking, with a focus on credit dynamics and monetary policy.
