CC Video 3: EARTH'S ENERGY BUDGET
(Wednesday, May 29): The ins-and-outs of earth's energy. Although this is a simplified budget, it serves to reinforce a must-know concept: Whatever energy absorbed by our planet must be sent back to space. What happens on its way back out is also of great importance.
CC Video 4: THE PHYSICS OF CLIMATE CHANGE
(Wednesday, May 29): This is a longer one, but for this, I will not apologize. KNOW THIS! It is important to your teacher that you understand why this magnificent planet of ours is warming up. It is also important to recognize the importance of greenhouse gases.
CC Video 5: FOSSIL FUELS
The good, the bad & the ugly about fossil fuels. We've been burning them for the past 100 years to power advancements in pretty much every part of the human endeavor. There is a Ruh-Roh with fossil fuels. All fossil fuels have carbon locked in their atomic structure. When burned, carbon atoms are freed to join oxygen (O2) in the surrounding air. This adds CO2 to the atmosphere. Therein lies the Ruh-Roh.
CC Video 6: GLOBAL TEMPERATURES (1)
Neither CC proponents nor skeptics are arguing the following claim: Average global temperatures have increased 1.0ºC (1.8ºF) since 1900. But there is a whole lot going on within that 1.0ºC. It's important that you gain a better understanding of this single degree. I want you to know its history to better understand possibilities for its future.
CC Video 8: 3-MINUTE SHORTY
Quick review!! Yes, ladies and germs, Mr. Wright was able to record a support video only three minutes in length. It's an all-encompassing shorty on the physics of climate change.
