A Maker Movement?
A hands-on approach to learning by doing has been gaining momentum recently due to the growth of the so called Maker Movement. Educators in various formal and informal settings are creating more opportunities for all young people to develop confidence, creativity, and spark an interest in science, technology, engineering, math, the arts, and learning as a whole through making.
One Young Maker
9-year-old Caine Monroy spent his summer vacation building an elaborate DIY cardboard arcade inside his dad’s used auto parts store, and asked people to play.
