I am with Xilinx AMD. My team looks at performance projections for next-gen AMD (Xilinx) ACAP devices.
I am on a sabbatical from the Department of Electronics and Communications, PES University, at the Electronic City campus. My research group at PES University (CHIPS) works on:
- building custom accelerators for deep-learning and graph applications
- designing PPA-efficient standard cells
- simplifying RISCV-based custom design exploration
In the past, my students have worked on:
- performance modelling of computationally complex algorithms on heterogeneous computing devices such as CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs.
- custom architectures for Deep-learning algorithms
- circuit-level exploration for novel FPGAs
- accelerators for computationally complex algorithms in Life Sciences and Communications domains using high-level synthesis
I was with Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru from Feb 2015 to June 2020. Before which I was a post-doctoral fellow with an International Research Fellowship from the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemenischaft), at the Processor Architecture Lab, EPFL, Switzerland and the High-performance Computing Lab, IISc., Bangalore
My research interests are in Reconfigurable Computing and Processor Architectures. I received my PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Heinz Nixdorf Institute, University of Paderborn, Germany. I also have a Master's degree from University of Alberta, Canada. Before that, I spent about 4 years in the Indian Semiconductor Industry.
