Sr. Pastor Archie D. Perrin
Reverend Perrin was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to the late Archie Perrin Sr. and Lola Perrin. The family relocated to Pittsburgh, PA, where he attended the Pittsburgh Public Schools and graduated from South Hills High School Hills High School. He graduated from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, N.C. with a BA of Science Degree in Mathematics. He later attended Duquesne University, Pittsburgh. Where he received his Masters Degree in Education and School Administration. He was employed in the Duquesne Public School District from 1974—1996 as a Math Teacher, Elementary and Secondary Principal, Campus Principal and Assistant Superintendent. In 1996 he relocated to the Wilkinsburg School District, and served there as Junior/Senior High School Principal, Assistant Superintendent, and in 2006 became Superintendent of the District, the position from which he would retire in 2010.
Pastor Perrin accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at the St. Luke Baptist Church. There he served as a member, usher, teacher, and Sunday School Supt. In 1981, he acknowledged his call to preach the Gospel and in September 1981, he preached his trial sermon and was licensed to preach by the late Rev. Dr. Clifton Ruggs. On March 3, 1983 he was called to pastor the Second Baptist Church of Carnegie, where he served faithfully for six (6) years. On May 17, 1989, he was called to serve as pastor of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Duquesne, PA. Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit through Pastor Perrin, the Church has grown in membership and discipleship. In his 29 year Pastoral ship, he has, baptized more than 1,600 souls into the Christian faith. Many improvements to the interior and exterior of the Church have been completed. In 2003, God lead the Pastor, Officers and Members into our new edifice that doubled the size of the Church, and added offices, classrooms, and Fellowship Hall to the Church.
Pastor Perrin has been married to his wife Rev. Carolyn Perrin for over 40 years. They are the proud parents of(4) daughters and grandparents of 5 grand children.
