• MA Aviation is headed up by Martin Ambrose.  Martin has been active in the aviation industry since leaving school in 1978.  Having been granted an apprenticeship with Marshall of Cambridge and completing the necessary college education at Mander College, Bedford, Martin has seen his aviation career develop over the ensuing years.  Martin's career has seen him working with organisations such as:

• British Airways

• Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO)

• British World Airlines

• European Regions Airline Association

• Eastern Airways

Martin brings with him:

• 25 years experience in supervisory and managerial roles

• in-depth knowledge of aircraft leasing

• expertise in the management of Continuing Airworthiness

• ability to direct complex aircraft maintenance projects from concept to completion

• organised, highly motivated, and detail-directed problem solver

• high level of knowledge on many IT software systems

• proven ability to work well with multi-cultural staff at all levels

Additionally Martin has:

• chaired the EASA Safety Standards Consultative Committee for four years

• reduced downtimes on major inputs by as much as 50% due to effective control of plans, personnel, budgets and materials

• implemented Technical Services based IT solutions from system specification, installation and commissioning to go-live

• increased in-house component overhaul capability by some 300%

• reduced level of material shortages by 50%, stock value reduced by 10% and stock turnover increased by 100%
