I am Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Business of the University of Cagliari (Italy). 

I am also a CRENoS researcher, a visiting fellow at the Department of Economics of the University of Essex and a HEDG affiliate. 

My research interests center around the economics of migration, welfare and risky behaviour.

 I have a PhD in Economics from the University of Essex. Until 2021, I was a Research Economist at the Competence Centre on Microeconomic Evaluation (CC-ME) at the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission in Ispra (VA), Italy.
