I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of Masaryk University (Brno, Czechia) and CERGE-EI Foundation Teaching Fellow (NY, USA).

I am an IZA Affiliate and GLO Fellow. 

I am a member of the National Institute for Research on the Socioeconomic Impacts of Disease and Systemic Risks (SYRI) and of Masaryk University Experimental Economics Laboratory (MUEEL).

After my graduation, I worked at STATEC--the Luxemburgish statistical institute, with the main task being the completion of statistical reports on well-being. Afterwards, I switched back to academia and did a two-year postdoc at Tulane University, US. Since then, I have been working at MUNI.

I am a labour economist and my core research focuses on two broad topics:

• Discrimination in the marketplace (e.g., labour, rental housing, service markets)

• Effects of within cohort age differences (i.e., relative age/age at school entry)

Among other things, I am specialized in designing field experiments.

I have the Italian habilitation for Associate Professor (Professore di II Fascia) in Economia Politica (13/A1), and Politica Economica (13/A2).
