Rental Information

About Cuddy Hall

The main building is 60'x30' (1800 sq ft.) including bathrooms and a kitchen. The kitchen has two ovens/stove tops, a refrigerator, a standup freezer and microwave oven. Tables and chairs are included in the rental. Some Dishes, flatware, servingware, cooking and serving utensils are available, however please inquire for details.

Rental Fees

Non-member rental: $175.00 per day

LOWPOA member: $150.00 per day

A cleaning/security deposit is required for all rentals.

Meeting Rentals (consisting of fewer than 25 people & not making use of the kitchen) require a $250 deposit.

Events Rentals (consisting of more than 25 people, with or without use of the kitchen) require a $500 deposit.

Every rental must have a $1,000,000 minimum personal liability insurance policy with Lake of the Woods Property Owners Association (LOWPOA) listed as 2nd Insured. If alcohol is being served, it must be included in the policy.

Additional fees may apply, depending on the nature and type of event.

How to Rent Cuddy Hall:

If you are interested in renting Cuddy Hall, please start by:

1. Read the Rental Agreement to make sure you are in agreement with the terms of use.

2. Fill out the "Availability Request Form".

After your request has been submitted, you will receive an email confirming your dates. Please note that it may take a few days to get your dates approved as the LOWPOA is operated entirely by volunteers who serve in their spare time.

3. Obtain your "Event Insurance": Renting Cuddy Hall requires proof of $1,000,000 liability insurance. If you have a home owners policy, your agent is the best place to start. Some home owner's policies will adjust coverage to the specific requirements for the day of your event. Not all policy holders do this, but those who will, typically do so for between $100 - $125.

If you don't have insurance or if it seems cost prohibitive, you can look online for "event insurance." Prices vary of course, but some providers offer event liability policies starting around $100. One such provider is TheEventHelper.com. (Disclaimer: LOWPOA has no relationship with this provider, nor do we recommend this or any other specific carrier.)

When acquiring your event insurance, keep in mind that you need $1,000,000 liability coverage (this is standard for many rental halls), and you also need to have the policy list "Lake of the Woods Property Owners Association" as "2nd Insured" on the policy. A certificate of the policy will need to be provided to us prior to your event. If you are serving alcohol at your event, your policy must include coverage for doing do.

4. Fill out and sign the Rental Agreement (available for download as a PDF at the bottom of the page.)

You will need to print and sign the rental agreement, and mail it in with your deposit, payment, and proof of insurance.

5. Receive Your Access Code for Cuddy Hall. After all of your paperwork has been received, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access Cuddy Hall on the day(s) of your event.
