Staging a Narrative

Installation, small wooden stage with fabric 62 x 112 x 9 cm and photographic print 21 x 21 cm

The image depicted an aftermath on the stage presented in front of it. The installation caused viewers to think about the previous happenings implied and the absence of the performer in the instance of the photograph and the stage both being present at once. My intention was to explore how an object might be imbued with meaning when underlined with some kind of photographic proof, and to explore the remnants of documentation as a physical presence.
