... Our dancing culminated with our learning “The Creation,” a bit of choreography that became my trademark. Perfecting the movements, with so many divergent minds, meant a lot of practice that really paid off; you all performed a really moving paean to an earthy poet....It was one of my proudest moments.... Sr. Elizabeth passed away 5/9/10. While at Loretto Academy she remembered - It came to my attention that the girls in my homeroom should see how it was to be poor. So after school we went to the Good Shepherd Convent in the south side of El Paso. We left shampoo, surleres and later heard that the girls were shampooing their hair every day. These were 'throw-away' girls whom no one wanted or they were escapees from the brothels.
