Mutual Fund Performance & Risk Analysis in Indian AMCs

Objective:

• Analyzed 50,000+ mutual fund records from various Asset Management Companies (AMCs).

• Assessed fund performance, risk levels, expense ratios, and AUM trends to provide investment insights.

• Developed a relational database (MySQL) to store and query mutual fund data efficiently.

Results & Key Findings:

• Expense Ratio vs. Returns: Higher expense ratios do not always correlate with better returns.

• Risk Levels: High-risk funds offer greater potential returns but also have volatile performance.

• AMC Performance: Certain AMCs consistently outperform their benchmarks over time.
