Loïc Caroux, Ph.D.

I am an Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences) of Cognitive Psychology and Ergonomics at Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès (France) and I am affiliated with the CLLE laboratory.

I teach and engage in research in the fields of Human Factors/Ergonomics, Cognitive Psychology and Human-Computer Interaction.

My research interests deal with Human Factors/Ergonomics in everyday computing systems. I have been involved as a Human Factors/Ergonomics expert in various funded research projects about player-video game interaction, assistive computing technology, as well as robotic and autonomous systems. I have conducted studies to understand whether and how the design choices of these kinds of systems may impact user experience, performance, and cognitive processes (e.g., perception, attention, memory). Most of this research is done in collaboration with partners from other disciplines (e.g., computer science, robotics, etc.).
