RULES & GUIDELINES FOR HIGH SCHOOL GOLF TEAMS
Visiting teams must receive and read a copy of clubs rules at least one day prior to match.
Golf teams must be accompanied by their coach or school representative.
Players may not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to the start of the match, regardless of Membership status at the Club.
Maximum of two coaches per team may play following matches.
Practice facility rules.
2 stalls on practice range per team. Maximum of 2 players per team on range tee.
Maximum of 2 players per team on Putting Green.
No Short Game Area usage allowed.
The clubhouse is off limits except for breezeway restrooms.
La Jolla Country Club does not have a cash snack bar. Member charges only.
No spectators allowed on course or at the Club during matches.
All players must vacate premises when matches are competed after 9th hole.
Cell phone usage is strictly prohibited. Emergency use only.
La Jolla Country Club requires a player list (first and last names) prior to teeing off. Groups must have golf shop permission before teeing off.
The hosting Coach is responsible to strictly enforce these rules.
GOLF ETIQUETTE
Please play without delay. Expected pace of play is 2:05.
Repair ball marks on greens and fill divots with sand from tubes provided.
Bunkers shall be raked smooth of all holes and footprints made by player. Rakes to be left inside bunker.
DRESS CODE
Please arrive dressed and ready to play. Changing in the parking lot or in the Clubhouse is strictly forbidden.
The following is an abbreviated version of the official Club Dress Code. The dress code has been established to maintain a level of decorum that is befitting one of the finest clubs in the region, and to respect the traditions associated with the game of golf. In keeping with the private country club atmosphere of La Jolla Country Club, we ask that guests wear appropriate golf clothing that is in good taste.
General Rules
Jeans, jean shorts, cut-off shorts, expandable pocket/cargo shorts and pants are not permitted. Bare midriff tops, faded, torn or tattered clothing, running shorts, scrubs, fitness leotards, sweat clothes, yoga pants, and swimwear are not appropriate or permitted on the golf course. Headwear, caps and visors shall be worn with bills positioned forward. Approved golf shoes are required.
Women
Appropriate golf shirts include blouses, shirts or sweaters. Golf shirts which are designed not to be tucked in are acceptable. Sleeveless tops with collars and collarless tops with sleeves are permitted; however tank tops, halter tops and t-shirts are not permitted. Shorts, skirts or skorts are acceptable but may be no shorter than mid-thigh length.
Men
Appropriate golf shirts include shirts with sleeves and collars. Mock turtlenecks with sleeves are permitted. Shirts must be tucked in. T-shirts or shirts with large printing on the front or back are not permitted. Slacks and shorts are acceptable
